WYNDHAM & BROOKE HAVEN POTTERY GALLERY, was founded by Wyndham and Melanie Dennison in 1996, and expanded to their new gallery location, just behind Village Pottery in 2002. The gallery allows each artist the space to showcase their individual talents in one retail location yet preserve the unique qualities of each.
Wyndham specializes in wheel turned high fired stoneware with his spectacular pallet of reduction glazes. Wyndham moved to Seagrove in 1996 from Texas, where his mentor, world renowned potter, Harding Black lived. He formulates all of his glazes and achieves wonderful abstract effects through his impressionistic technique of glaze application and firing.
Melanie is a local potter that specializes in slab-constructed unique clay forms which are both functional and contemporary. She loves to hand build textured organic forms. She and her husband both enjoy their mutual love of creating beautiful vessels from clay. All pottery made by the couple is lead free, microwave, oven and dishwasher safe.
