Blue Moon Gallery, a long time favorite in Seagrove, representing over 85 artisans including both local and national artists. This variety provides a diverse collection of functional, sculptural and art pottery in contemporary and traditional shapes and styles. The eclectic collection includes wheel thrown, handbuilt, altered and slab work with various finishes including raku, crystalline glazes, slip trailing and salt glazed pieces representing the artists' personal creativity. The result is a delightful collection of choices in styles and colors.
The gallery owners, Byron & Georgia Knight, are potters and long time collectors who have indulged their love of the pottery medium by moving to Seagrove from the North Carolina beaches. Their interest in this art form is indicated in the selection of work they have assembled in the gallery. Along with pottery the gallery also features a variety of hand made jewelry and other fine crafts.
