Saturday at noon we will unload our newest garden pieces. We have designed a totem pole of teacups with a plate for birdfeed and a teapot on the top. You can pick your pieces in the glazes you love. We will have 30 spoonrest for people to decorate in underglazes. We will demo the mandalas dots design or you may use your imagination to design your own. Join Hatfield Pottery and Carolina Crockery Gallery for a fun spring time kiln opening! We’ll have some fresh pots available, as well as offering hand-building classes both Saturday and Sunday.

Let’s make some wall pockets that you can use for fresh or dried arrangements or something practical. We’ll show you how to make a flat-backed wall pocket 8″-10″ in your choice of a selected glaze set. Textures and stamps available make yours very unique.

$35 each person, we’ll fire it and glaze it for you, and have it ready for Mother’s Day.

Classes have limited space. Please call ahead for class reservations – 336=879-2426. 10AM, 1PM Saturday, 1PM Sunday. Each class can hold 6-8 people. We love families, groups and best-buds that want to experience their own hands in the clay.
Light refreshments will be served.

Gallery shopping is free, Handbuilding Wall Pockets activity is $35 per person.

A truly unique experience as you have a hand in helping Anna, Terry and Crystal King unload pots from their traditional wood-fired salt glaze kiln. Vases, Face Jugs, and special Animal figures are unloaded at 9 AM and then are for sale as they are displayed around the kiln site from 10-4PM. Be there at 9 sharp for the unloading.
