The Triangle Studio
About Us
The Triangle Studio’s gallery features pottery by the founders, Kate Waltman and Erin Younge. They have fired wood kilns together for 10+ years making them a collaboration created by fire. After working together for several years they decided to join forces in renovating a building near downtown Seagrove, NC. That building is now a pottery gallery and studio spaces for its artists. Our artists make a wide variety of work including dinnerware, storage vessels, decorative vases, planters, sculptures, big pots, and jewelry. Check out each of their individual Potter profiles for more information about each of their work.

History
The original brick structure was built sometime after the railroad was brought to Seagrove at the turn of the 20th century. During the early years the building was a restaurant less than a mile from town center. In the late 1940’s it was converted into a gas station called the Triangle Service Station where local businesses, and traffic through downtown Seagrove, could have their vehicles serviced or pick up concessions.
The property’s triangular shape influenced its name when it was built back in the early 1900’s and although it was abandoned for the last 33 years it is being restored to a new glory. As of 2019, the building houses studio spaces and a gallery with pottery and ceramic sculpture by the founding artists and their occasional guests.

The Triangle Studio Celebration of Spring Pottery Tour
The Triangle Studio Co-Founders, Kate Waltman and Erin Younge, love Spring planting and fresh cut flower season. Our artists like to focus on floral centerpieces and garden ascents for this event. Kate specializes in elegant flower vases with art deco designs while Erin makes gorgeous wall-hanging vases for bountifully cut bouquets. These artists will have planters available along with ceramic pieces ranging from dinnerware to jewelry and sculptural work.
Saturday, April 25th of the event, Kate Waltman will be demonstrating her distinct clay process. Start the season off with a beautifully floral experience in Seagrove, NC.
