Auction by Proxy

Auction by Proxy for the 2024 Celebration of Seagrove Potters has ended.

Our Celebration of Seagrove Potters Gala features a Collaboration Auction of special one-of-a- kind pieces made by two or more Seagrove potters working together.

We are happy to announce that this year, 25% of the proceeds from our live and silent auctions will go to CERF+ (Craft Emergency Relief Fund) and will be designated to directly benefit their Western North Carolina relief efforts. This cause is important to us, and we are grateful to have the opportunity to share some of our resources with our fellow craftspeople in the North Carolina mountains.

If you would like to attend our Gala on November 22, 2 – 7:30pm, click here to purchase tickets. If you are unable to attend the Gala, you can still participate in our Collaboration Auction by bidding online. Select the buttons below to place your bid. Someone will bid on your behalf during the live auction. You will be notified if you have the winning bid.

How does proxy bidding work?

You can bid on as many pots as you would like. Once you select the button to bid, you will be asked for your maximum bid. The proxy places bids on your behalf, incrementally, based on the competition as called by the auctioneer. If a competing bid exceeds your maximum bid, the proxy stops bidding on your behalf. The item will then go to the highest active bidder.

If your maximum bid is not exceeded by any other bidder, you win the item at the current bid price. This price may be lower than your maximum bid. If you have the winning bid, you will be notified of your successful bid and final amount due at the end of the auction. If you need your item shipped, an additional fee will be charged for shipping. You will be emailed an invoice with the final amount due. Payment must be made within 5 days. No buyer’s premium is added to the sale price. No tax is added to the sale price.

Proxy bidding will end at 11:59pm on Thursday, November 21.
