The first two Jugtown firings of the year will coincide with the annual Valentine’s Day weekend shopping fundraiser. In addition to the local charities and fundraisers we all support throughout the year, Jugtown has planned a Valentine’s event to raise money for animal rescue groups. In conjunction with this fundraiser for animals, Jennie has been busy with her own backyard feral cat rescue operation. She has successfully caught (and trying to catch Mom for a spay) and socialized the last batch of kittens. Two tigers, a boy and a girl, are available for adoption. They have been to the vet and are clear of any diseases, have had their rabies and FCVRP/FeLv shots. I would love to see them adopted together to become indoor kitties (but not required), and if they turn out like their brother from the last litter they will be wonderful kitties.

In between cat taming and life, I have been conducting some new glaze experiments, creating reversible pendants with my original whimsical paintings on the back and more. I will have new work available at the shop. I will also be listing several things on my website later today as well (or if you have an interest in a piece not listed, just email or text me on 910-603-9890! And for all the knitters and sewers out there, I have a selection of handmade enamel buttons on my website!

This year, Jugtown has decided to support the Asheville Humane Society. Generally we all keep our donations local, but we know there is still considerable need in the western part of our state. 10% of sales at Jugtown on Friday, February 14 & Saturday, February 15 will be donated.
