Janice Latham

“Doing something you love as much as pottery is truly a blessing from God!”

[...It's a New Day Be a Blessing to someone!...]

Janice moved to Asheboro-Seagrove area when she was in the 4th grade. Bruce & Janice went to Seagrove School and Church together growing up. They started dating in 1971, fell in love and married in 1973. Janice worked in the hosiery industry for 22 years. They have two children Dana and Ray, two granddaughters Ashlyn and Michaela. In 1991 Janice wanted a potters wheel and Bruce purchased one ML Owens had hand-made. Bruce took off turning, you could tell he had the talent! One year later in June 1992 they opened their shop, Latham’s Pottery. Janice’s mill shut down in 1995 and she started turning more with the extra time. It is great working side by side with your husband. Janice also went back to school for business accounting and computer programming. They love making pottery and enjoy meeting the people that become like family!
