“My pottery expresses an innovative fusing of Asian and Contemporary Western influences.”

[... Old Gap Pottery (est. 1972) is my limited production studio specializing in one-of-a-kind work that combines Asian and Contemporary Western influences.” Enjoy the subtle beauty of randomly imperfect things. Feel their unique vitality & expression. ...]

Often asymmetrical forms are altered, carved, stamped or hand painted using subtly expressive abstract glaze effects that are blended with organic natural references to achieve one-of-a-kind effects; as, they are fired into Stoneware, Raku, Earthenware or Porcelain in a variety of kilns, using propane, electricity or wood as fuel. These are pots to enjoy holding & using. They are interesting forms to look at … LET YOUR IMAGINATION RUN.

My pottery has been shown in juried & invitational exhibits in the U.S.A., South Korea, China & Japan. Works are represented in private & corporate collections; as well as,  the Ceramic Museum of Mun-Gyeong & the Gangjin Celadon Museum, Republic of South Korea. I have presented at workshops in U.S.A., Republic of South Korea & China.
