Free-form Vase:   This organic shape is altered by combing a motif through porcelain slip. Raw clay is subtely glazed with random coloring by naturally flying wood ash; as, it is hand fired with wood for 5 days to over 2400 f in David Stuempfle’s Anagama Kiln. For 48 years in Seagrove, I’ve enjoyed sharing the pleasure I get forming clay into useful objects that reflect organic elements of nature by blending Asian & Western aesthetics.
