The studio features a wonderful open space with large windows to see pottery being made. When you visit the shop you will enjoy the rough architecture of the renovated farm buildings overlooking the beautiful pond and landscaping. There’s also plenty of room to relax in the comfortable rocking chairs on the covered patio while taking in the beauty of surrounding flowers and greenery.
Pots and Paint with Seagrove Potters
Experience a new adventure as potters and painters come together to share their inspiration. Eight Seagrove NC Pottery Shops and eight painters from NC Plein Air Painters of the Carolinas have a special day planned on May 20th from 9:00 - 4:00. Become an art enthusiast as you meet the artists, learn about pottery and plein air or outdoor painting. Watch the painters’ artistic visions of still life arrangements, landscapes and historical buildings develop before your eyes. The best part is you’ll have the opportunity to own the paintings and pottery as a fond reminder of your trip! Make plans to spend the day in Seagrove on a self guided tour for this paint-out event on May 20, 2017, rain date will be the following weekend May 27th. Start your day at any of the participating pottery shops; Crystal King Pottery, From the Ground Up Pottery, JLK Jewelry, Jugtown Pottery, Smith Pottery, Thomas Pottery, and Westmoore Pottery.
